New England Nomads is an Aussie Rules Football Club based in Armidale.
The club plays its home matches at the University of New England’s Bellevue Oval,
Built on grit, mateship, and a genuine love of the game, Nomads AFC is more than just a team—it’s a community. Fielding both men’s and women’s sides, we pride ourselves on being a tight-knit, supportive, and all-inclusive club where everyone is welcome, from seasoned players to first-timers.
On and off the field, we back each other, celebrate the wins, and lift each other through the tough losses. It’s a place where friendships are forged, barriers are broken, and everyone pulls on the guernsey with pride. At our core, it’s simple: good people, great footy, and a club that feels like home.
The St Kilda Hotel is proud to be sponsoring the 2025 Breaking Barriers Story Telling Award, which is for a creative work (film writing performance art) that has powerfully challenged stereo types and amplified rural voices.
